Claims Examiner

Responsibilities: • Review claims and evaluate accuracy and validity of information • Determine coverage and eligibility according to policy provisions • Negotiate settlements with claimants and insured parties • Document findings and decisions in the claims system • Identify and investigate potentially fraudulent claims • Work with other departments to ensure claim accuracy • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations • Maintain effective communication with other departments and internal teams
