Nationwide Mutual Insurance is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Claims Consultant for our Casualty department. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling complex claims related to personal and commercial liability.   1. Investigate and evaluate personal and commercial liability claims to determine coverage and liability.
  2. Communicate with policyholders, claimants, and other involved parties to gather necessary information and documentation.
  3. Analyze claims information and make sound decisions on coverage and settlement amounts.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed claim files in compliance with company and industry standards.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and external partners to ensure timely and accurate resolution of claims.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries and keeping all parties informed throughout the claims process.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve claims handling.
  8. Identify and investigate potential fraud or abusive practices and take appropriate actions.
  9. Support and mentor junior claims representatives as needed.
  10. Attend trainings and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  11. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  12. Meet or exceed performance metrics, such as productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  13. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure claims handling is in compliance with laws and regulations.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  15. Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Claims Handling, Preferably In The Casualty Insurance Industry

  • Strong Knowledge Of Insurance Policies, Procedures, And Regulations
