Responsibilities:

1. Handle claims according to Nationwide Mutual Insurance standards and procedures.
2. Investigate, analyze and evaluate claims to determine liability, coverage, and damages.
3. Negotiate settlements and resolve claims in a timely manner.
4. Provide exceptional customer service and build relationships with customers.
5. Maintain accurate records of claim handling and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
6. Develop and maintain positive relationships with attorneys, other insurance companies, and third-party vendors.
7. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
8. Utilize problem-solving and decision-making skills to evaluate and resolve complex claims.
9. Prepare detailed reports, analyze claims data, and monitor claim trends.
10. Assist with training new adjusters and support staff.
