Claims Adjuster

At Nationwide Mutual Insurance, we are looking for a Claims Adjuster who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has a passion for problem solving. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in the insurance industry and a desire to serve customers. Our Claims Adjuster will be tasked with investigating and resolving insurance claims in a timely and efficient manner.The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the insurance industry, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in computer software applications. Responsibilities:

1. Investigating and resolving insurance claims in a timely and efficient manner.
2. Analyzing and evaluating claims information to determine liability or to ensure appropriate resolution.
3. Collecting and assessing information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and medical providers to determine the validity of claims.
4. Managing and updating claims information in the company’s database.
5. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, and best practices.
6. Communicating effectively with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and medical providers.
7. Documenting all claims activity in the company’s database.
8. Making decisions on the validity of claims and the amount of compensation to be paid.
9. Making recommendations for process improvements.
10. Adhering to all company and industry standards and regulations.
