
Benefits Specialist
At Nationwide Mutual Insurance, we are looking for a Benefits Specialist who is passionate about helping employees and customers with their benefits. This role requires someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator. The Benefits Specialist will be responsible for managing employee benefits programs, maintaining records, and providing customer service to our employees and customers. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in employee benefits administration, a strong knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations, and excellent customer service skills. They must also be comfortable working independently as well as in a team, and possess excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and monitor employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain employee benefits records and ensure accuracy of data.
- Provide customer service to employees and customers regarding their benefits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
- Work independently and collaboratively with other team members.
- Utilize problem-solving and organizational skills to create effective solutions.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer service and customer experience.
- Stay up-to-date with federal and state regulations and requirements related to employee benefits.
- Act as a resource for employees and customers, providing accurate and timely information.
- Monitor and evaluate employee benefits programs, making recommendations for improvements.
