Job Description

At Nationwide Mutual Insurance, we are looking for an Actuary who is ready to make an impact. The ideal candidate will have an educational background in Actuarial Science, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to think critically. We are looking for someone who is proficient in actuarial models, data analysis, and software programs. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.The successful candidate must have a minimum of four years of experience in the field of Actuarial Science, including advanced course work in mathematics, statistics, probability theory, actuarial models, and computer programming. Additionally, we require that the candidate is in the process of completing the Society of Actuaries (SOA) examinations, and is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA). Responsibilities:

  1. Develop innovative solutions to help Nationwide continue to be a leader in financial services.
  2. Analyze data and create actuarial models using software programs.
  3. Communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
  4. Maintain a minimum of four years of experience in the field of Actuarial Science.
  5. Pursue the Society of Actuaries (SOA) examinations and become an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA).
  6. Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure success.
  7. Utilize problem-solving skills to develop strategies and solutions.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  9. Provide technical support to other departments as needed.
