
Actuarial Analyst
At Nationwide Mutual Insurance, our Actuarial Analysts are an integral part of our team. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong quantitative and analytical skills to join our team. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of actuarial principles and statistical analysis, as well as excellent problem solving and communication skills. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and develop your actuarial skills. If you are a self-starter with a desire to grow and succeed in a team-oriented environment, we want to hear from you!To be successful in this role, you must possess a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. In addition, 2+ years of relevant experience in the actuarial field is preferred. We are also seeking a candidate who is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and has passed at least two actuarial exams. Finally, experience utilizing actuarial software and databases is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize actuarial software and databases to complete projects and analyses.
- Analyze data utilizing actuarial principles and statistical analysis.
- Develop actuarial skills through a variety of projects.
- Research and interpret actuarial data as needed for projects.
- Identify trends and correlations in actuarial data.
- Develop problem-solving strategies to confront complex actuarial issues.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to team members.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and present ideas.
- Maintain updated knowledge of actuarial trends and practices.
- Maintain fellowship of Society of Actuaries and pass necessary actuarial exams.
