
Actuarial Analyst
At Nationwide Mutual Insurance, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Actuarial Analyst to join our team. We are seeking a team-oriented self-starter with excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills to help us continue to provide our customers with secure and reliable insurance products. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for the actuarial profession and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence and customer service.To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, and at least 2 years of actuarial experience. In addition, the ability to effectively communicate complex actuarial concepts to non-actuarial audiences is essential. Responsibilities:
- Analyze data and evaluate actuarial risks to develop cost-effective insurance solutions.
- Develop and implement pricing models and actuarial methodologies to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present actuarial reports to management and other stakeholders.
- Participate in the development of new products and pricing strategies.
- Monitor industry trends and developments to ensure actuarial solutions remain current.
- Provide actuarial advice to internal and external customers.
- Maintain and update actuarial databases and related software applications.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional certifications.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior actuarial analysts.
- Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
