Job Description

Nationwide Mutual Insurance is looking for a motivated and experienced Actuarial Analyst to join our team. If you have an eye for detail, a knack for analyzing data, and a desire to help make sound risk management decisions, this may be the career opportunity you’ve been waiting for.The Actuarial Analyst will be responsible for interpreting complex data, developing pricing models, and making recommendations that help the company manage risk. As a key member of our actuarial team, the ideal candidate will be highly analytical, possess strong communication and problem solving skills, and have a solid understanding of insurance and risk management principles.We are looking for a candidate with a degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or a related field, and experience with pricing and product development. Successful candidates will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the actuarial field and must have passed at least two actuarial exams. Previous experience with coding and data analysis is a major plus.

Responsibilities:

  1. Interpret complex actuarial data and develop pricing models based on analysis.
  2. Analyze data and make sound risk management decisions.
  3. Communicate effectively with members of the actuarial team and other stakeholders.
  4. Develop insurance and risk management strategies.
  5. Utilize coding and data analysis software to analyze actuarial data.
  6. Manage the product development cycle from conception to implementation.
  7. Monitor financial performance of actuarial models and products.
  8. Maintain a working knowledge of industry trends and regulations.
  9. Prepare reports to summarize actuarial data and analysis.
  10. Stay current on changes in the actuarial field and applicable regulatory requirements.
