
Actuarial Analyst
At Nationwide Mutual Insurance, we are looking for an Actuarial Analyst who is passionate about data and analytics. Our ideal candidate will have the drive to lead complex projects and enhance our actuarial processes. If you have a sharp analytical mind and experience in data analysis, then this could be the perfect role for you.The right individual must possess the following qualifications: a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field; at least one actuarial exam; and a minimum of 1-3 years of actuarial experience. The ideal candidate is also someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in Microsoft Excel.In this role, you will be part of a team of analysts responsible for providing accurate and timely actuarial analyses to support the operations of the Actuarial Department. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to a wide variety of actuarial tasks, including reserving, pricing, and forecasting. Responsibilities:
- Perform actuarial analyses to support the operations of the Actuarial Department, including reserving, pricing, and forecasting.
- Use Microsoft Excel to conduct data analysis and prepare reports.
- Develop actuarial models and other analytical tools to assess the impact of proposed changes to actuarial processes.
- Monitor actuarial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in the Actuarial Department.
- Participate in meetings, seminars, and other professional development activities to stay abreast of the latest developments in actuarial science.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other members of the Actuarial Team.
