
EHS Manager
This position exists to manage the company’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Programs, taking appropriate measures to minimize or eliminate potential EHS risks, and ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Plans, develops and implements programs, policies and procedures to minimize the potential EHS impacts associated with the company’s operations. Ensures the development, implementation and coordination of all EHS compliance programs and procedures. Provides subject matter experts as needed to assist in related EHS training of facility personnel. Manages annual EHS budget.Manages personnel with a working knowledge of the permit process for all regulatory bodies governing the company’s activities, and oversees the process of obtaining/maintaining permits as required to conduct the company’s operations or construction of facilities.
A minimum of ten years related experience.
Extensive knowledge of ship repair or other manufacturing operations, facilities, processes and operating procedures
The ability to effectively interface with and make presentations before regulatory bodies at the local, state, and federal levels
