Job Description

The National Bank of Canada is seeking a Senior Advisor Risk & Regulatory to contribute to the bank's overall risk management framework. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance and mitigating risk across all lines of business.This position requires an individual with a demonstrated ability to effectively lead projects, develop efficient risk management strategies, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of regulatory and risk management principles, operations, and best practices. They should possess the ability to form relationships and engage with senior level management, as well as demonstrate a high level of integrity and ethics in upholding the bank's standards.We are looking for an individual who is collaborative, proactive and has a customer-centric focus. The ability to think strategically, identify risks and mitigate them before they arise is essential. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic guidance on risk management strategies and regulatory compliance across all lines of business.
  2. Lead projects related to risk management and regulatory compliance.
  3. Develop efficient risk management practices and procedures.
  4. Form relationships with senior level management and external stakeholders.
  5. Identify and mitigate potential risks before they arise.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
  7. Uphold the bank's standards of integrity and ethics.
  8. Maintain an understanding of current regulatory and risk management principles, operations, and best practices.
  9. Remain customer-centric in all decisions and actions.
  10. Assist with additional duties as needed.
