Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Legal Procurement Advisor to join the National Bank of Canada team. As a key member of the Procurement team, you’ll be responsible for providing specialized expertise in the area of legal procurement and contract management to ensure that all legal procurement activities are compliant with applicable policies and procedures. We’re looking for an individual who has a passion for legal procurement and contract management and who is committed to delivering exceptional customer service. You must have a minimum of 5 years of legal procurement experience in a corporate environment, preferably in the banking sector. You must also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will also have a strong understanding of legal procurement policies and procedures and be familiar with various legal procurement software. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide specialized expertise in the areas of legal procurement and contract management to ensure that all activities are compliant with applicable policies and procedures.
  2. Maintain a thorough understanding of legal procurement policies and procedures, as well as various legal procurement software.
  3. Negotiate, draft and review legal procurement contracts.
  4. Monitor and manage legal procurement activities.
  5. Participate in the development and implementation of legal procurement strategies.
  6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of legal procurement activities.
  7. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in legal procurement.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with external suppliers.
  10. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
