Job Description

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Community Development Loan Officer to join the National Bank of Canada's team! As a Community Development Loan Officer, you will be responsible for providing loan services to the Bank's clients while ensuring compliance with the Bank's policies and procedures. You will provide guidance and expertise to clients in order to ensure a successful outcome for their loan applications.To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in banking, finance, or a related field, and experience in loan origination and loan servicing. You should have excellent communication skills, be highly detail-oriented, and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in a banking environment and a thorough knowledge of the Bank's policies and procedures are essential. You should also have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to take initiative and identify solutions.If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and are looking for an exciting and rewarding opportunity, then this position could be perfect for you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Originate and service loans for the Bank's clients in accordance with Bank policies and procedures.
  2. Guide and provide expertise to clients throughout the loan process.
  3. Ensure compliance with Bank policies and procedures.
  4. Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  5. Analyze loan applications and identify potential risks.
  6. Take initiative to solve loan-related problems.
  7. Maintain accurate loan documentation and records.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
  9. Attend networking events and other community-building activities.
  10. Provide excellent customer service.
