
Community Development Loan Officer

National Bank of Canada is looking for an experienced Community Development Loan Officer to join our team!As the Community Development Loan Officer, you will be responsible for helping to foster economic development in communities across our service area. You will provide assistance to individuals and businesses, helping them to access the capital and resources they need to grow and succeed. In this role, you will also work closely with government and non-profit agencies to ensure that our services are aligned with the needs of the community.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, as well as several years of experience in a similar role. You should have a strong understanding of lending and credit policies, as well as a commitment to customer service and community engagement. Most importantly, you must have a passion for helping others and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the unique needs of the communities we serve. Responsibilities:
- Develop loan programs and services that meet the needs of individuals and businesses in the community.
- Monitor and evaluate loan applications to ensure compliance with credit policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with government and non-profit agencies to ensure that services are aligned with community needs.
- Provide support and resources to individuals and businesses to help them access capital and resources.
- Develop and maintain relationships with lenders and other financial institutions.
- Analyze current and potential credit risks.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lending and credit regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service and demonstrate a commitment to community engagement.
