Job Description

The National Bank of Canada is looking for a motivated and skilled Community Development Loan Officer to join our team and help drive our mission of creating lasting change in our communities. Our ideal candidate has strong knowledge of banking processes and loan regulations, a passion for sustainable development, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to our team, helping to create, manage and monitor loan programs that make a positive impact on our communities. To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, be highly organized and detail-oriented, and have a proven ability to think strategically and collaboratively. Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance, or a related field• At least 5 years of experience in a banking or loan-related position, with an emphasis on compliance and customer service• Knowledge of banking regulations, loan policies, and procedures• Ability to analyze financial data and create reports• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders• Demonstrated commitment to community development• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, manage, and monitor loan programs that have a positive impact on the community.
  2. Analyze financial data and create reports to ensure compliance with banking regulations and loan policies.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
  4. Provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction with loan programs.
  5. Ensure compliance with banking regulations and loan policies.
  6. Evaluate loan applications and make decisions based on financial data.
  7. Monitor loan performance and take appropriate action to ensure success.
  8. Research and develop new loan products and services.
  9. Provide strategic and collaborative guidance to ensure successful loan programs.
  10. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
