  1. Develop and implement public policy and government relations strategies to support Mozilla Corporation's mission and goals.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the US government, including legislators, regulators, and other policymakers.
  3. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments that may impact Mozilla Corporation and its mission.
  4. Work closely with internal teams to identify policy priorities and develop advocacy campaigns to support them.
  5. Represent Mozilla Corporation at industry events and engage in public speaking opportunities to promote our mission and policy positions.
  6. Collaborate with external partners and coalitions to advance common policy goals.
  7. Provide guidance and support to the executive team on public policy matters and potential risks.
  8. Prepare and submit policy briefs, position papers, and other relevant materials to government officials and agencies.
  9. Manage and allocate resources for government relations activities, including budget and staffing.
  10. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in public policy and government relations.
  11. Act as a liaison between Mozilla Corporation and government agencies, advocating for our interests and responding to inquiries.
  12. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and policies that may impact the organization.
  13. Build and maintain a strong network of contacts in the public policy and government relations space.
  14. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and advocacy efforts.
  15. Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of our public policy and government relations strategies.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Public Policy, Political Science, Government Relations, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Public Policy And Government Relations, Preferably In The Technology Industry.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Us Federal And State Legislative Processes, As Well As Regulatory Agencies.

  • Strong Communication And Advocacy Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Policy Issues To A Variety Of Stakeholders.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Advocating For Policy Positions And Building Relationships With Government Officials And External Partners.
