Paramedic
- Working at assigned station with one partner on a forty-eight-hour shift.
- Provide Basic Life Support and/or Advanced Life Support treatment to victims, in
- accordance with California State and ICEMA Region Paramedic Scope of Practice.
- Perform or assist in over-the-side rescues of victims as trained.
- Responds to the fire ground to treat victims of fire, explosions, or building collapse.
- Assists with emergency incident rehabilitation on the fire ground as assigned.
- Operates rescue unit in presence of inclement weather, road closures and possible
- avalanche danger
- Prepare concise written reports and complete all required clerical duties
- Work safely under hazardous conditions
- Maintain vehicles, medical and non-medical equipment
- Work harmoniously with partners and those contacted while work.
Knowledge of BLS and ALS protocols as required by the local emergency medical services agency (ICEMA)
Successful completion of an Accredited Paramedic School
