- Process and review prescription requests from members and healthcare providers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with pharmacy partners to ensure timely and efficient processing of prescriptions.
- Verify member eligibility and coverage for prescribed medications.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of prescription requests and member information.
- Communicate with members and healthcare providers regarding any issues or concerns with prescription requests.
- Follow all state and federal laws, as well as company policies and procedures, related to prescription processing.
- Provide exceptional customer service to members, addressing any questions or concerns related to their prescriptions.
- Assist in resolving any billing or payment issues related to prescription medications.
- Stay current on all pharmaceutical products and their uses to accurately process and fulfill prescriptions.
- Collaborate with other departments within Molina Healthcare to ensure a seamless member experience.
- Participate in training and development programs to continuously improve knowledge and skills related to pharmacy practices.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards coworkers, members, and healthcare providers.
- Adhere to all company safety and security protocols.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics related to prescription processing and customer service.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings and sharing ideas for process improvement.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Related Field: A Representative, Pharmacy At Molina Healthcare Should Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or A Related Field. This Educational Background Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Understanding Of Pharmaceuticals And Their Usage.
Valid Pharmacy Technician License: A Valid Pharmacy Technician License Is A Must-Have For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Requirements Set By The State To Work As A Pharmacy Technician.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Pharmacy, Is An Important Qualification For This Role. This Experience Demonstrates An Understanding Of The Healthcare Industry And The Ability To Work Within A Fast-Paced Environment.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Representative, Pharmacy, The Candidate Will Be Required To Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role.
