Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Representative for our Pharmacy department. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our members have access to the medications they need. In this role, you will work closely with our pharmacy partners to ensure timely and accurate prescription processing.   1. Process and review prescription requests from members and healthcare providers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  2. Collaborate with pharmacy partners to ensure timely and efficient processing of prescriptions.
  3. Verify member eligibility and coverage for prescribed medications.
  4. Maintain accurate and confidential records of prescription requests and member information.
  5. Communicate with members and healthcare providers regarding any issues or concerns with prescription requests.
  6. Follow all state and federal laws, as well as company policies and procedures, related to prescription processing.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service to members, addressing any questions or concerns related to their prescriptions.
  8. Assist in resolving any billing or payment issues related to prescription medications.
  9. Stay current on all pharmaceutical products and their uses to accurately process and fulfill prescriptions.
  10. Collaborate with other departments within Molina Healthcare to ensure a seamless member experience.
  11. Participate in training and development programs to continuously improve knowledge and skills related to pharmacy practices.
  12. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards coworkers, members, and healthcare providers.
  13. Adhere to all company safety and security protocols.
  14. Meet or exceed performance metrics related to prescription processing and customer service.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings and sharing ideas for process improvement.
  16. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Related Field: A Representative, Pharmacy At Molina Healthcare Should Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or A Related Field. This Educational Background Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Understanding Of Pharmaceuticals And Their Usage.

  • Valid Pharmacy Technician License: A Valid Pharmacy Technician License Is A Must-Have For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Requirements Set By The State To Work As A Pharmacy Technician.

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Pharmacy, Is An Important Qualification For This Role. This Experience Demonstrates An Understanding Of The Healthcare Industry And The Ability To Work Within A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Representative, Pharmacy, The Candidate Will Be Required To Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: Working With Pharmaceuticals Requires A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail. A Successful Candidate For This Position Should Possess These Qualities To Ensure The Safe And Correct Dispensing Of Medications To Patients.
