  1. Review and evaluate medication utilization for members to ensure appropriate use and adherence to evidence-based practices.
  2. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement strategies for managing costs while maintaining quality healthcare.
  3. Conduct medication therapy management and medication reconciliation for members as needed.
  4. Utilize clinical expertise and knowledge of pharmacy guidelines and regulations to make informed decisions regarding medication utilization.
  5. Communicate with providers and other healthcare professionals to discuss medication therapy and provide recommendations for optimizing treatment plans.
  6. Monitor and analyze medication utilization data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide input on strategies to enhance the medication utilization process.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments in pharmacy and utilization management to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
  9. Educate and train other healthcare professionals on evidence-based medication therapy and appropriate utilization.
  10. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all medication utilization reviews and decisions.
  11. Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure proper handling and storage of medications.
  12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, related to pharmacy and utilization management.
  13. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by sharing knowledge and expertise with team members.
  14. Serve as a resource for members and their families, providing education and support on medication therapy and utilization.
  15. Uphold Molina Healthcare's mission and values, promoting a culture of compassionate and quality care for our members.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited Pharmacy School.

  • Active And Unrestricted State License To Practice Pharmacy.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Utilization Management Or A Related Field.

  • Strong Understanding Of Pharmacy Benefit Management And Formulary Design.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Healthcare Providers And Members.
