- Oversee daily operations of the terminal, including container handling, vessel operations, and yard management.
- Ensure efficient and productive operation of the terminal, minimizing delays and maximizing throughput.
- Maintain and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency.
- Manage a team of terminal workers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure successful execution of tasks.
- Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of services.
- Maintain and update equipment and systems, ensuring they are in proper working condition and comply with industry standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer service and satisfaction, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve terminal operations.
- Communicate effectively with upper management, providing regular reports on terminal performance and any significant developments or challenges.
Experience In Terminal Operations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Terminal Operations, Preferably In A Supervisory Role. This Will Demonstrate The Candidate's Knowledge And Understanding Of The Processes And Procedures Involved In Managing A Terminal.
Strong Leadership Skills: As A Terminal Operations Supervisor, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Terminal Operators. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills Are Essential To Effectively Delegate Tasks, Provide Guidance, And Motivate Team Members To Achieve Their Goals.
