Scientist, Bioinformatics

In this role, you are identifying the next set of tools -- from algorithms, workflow managers, to visualization frameworks -- that will help the broader genomics community with their scientific discoveries. You will use these to guide the strategic direction for how Terra evolves on Azure for academic, clinical, and industry scientists. Responsible for the optimization and enhancement of bioinformatics tools and solutions. Work with hardware and software partners to accelerate bioinformatics applications on Azure. Interact closely with scientists across academia and industry to define and drive best practices for bioinformatics analysis on Azure. Particulate and engage with the scientific community to stay informed on new algorithms and workflows for genomics data analysis. Partner and engage with the open-source community in deploying their tools and solutions on Microsoft services. Write technical documents, blog posts, publish in top journals or conferences.
