Principal Physical Design Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Principal Physical Design Engineer to join the Microsoft Hardware DevOps team. The ideal candidate should have a track record of successful physical design projects, a passion for problem-solving, and a commitment to excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of complex physical design projects from concept to production. You will also be responsible for guiding the team through the entire physical design flow, including design partitioning, floor-planning, timing-closure, and power/signal integrity analysis. To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in physical design. You must have a proven track record of successful physical design projects, and have experience with synthesis, place and route, timing-closure, and signal/power integrity analysis. You must also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
