
Datacenter Engineering Principal Mechanical Engineer
Microsoft is currently seeking an experienced and talented Datacenter Engineering Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative and dynamic team. We are looking for a passionate individual with a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices, and prior success in leading the design, installation, and maintenance of datacenter mechanical systems. This position will play a critical role in the success of our datacenter engineering operations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with five or more years of experience in the design and operation of datacenter mechanical systems. They will also have prior experience in the design and installation of datacenter cooling systems, air flow management, and other related systems. The successful candidate will also be a highly proactive and organized individual, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience with the Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Design, install, and maintain datacenter mechanical systems according to engineering principles and practices.
- Design and install datacenter cooling systems, air flow management, and other related systems.
- Develop, execute, and manage projects within the datacenter engineering operations.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance standards and procedures.
- Monitor and optimize datacenter mechanical systems performance.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues with datacenter mechanical systems.
- Provide technical support to other engineering teams and departments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and requirements.
