The Initiative is a new first-party game studio located in Santa Monica backed by Microsoft. The Initiative has an immediate opening for a Senior Concept Artist to create inspirational artwork which helps define our artistic vision. Collaborate with Art Director, Creative Director, and Leads to create inspirational artwork to define artistic vision and support game design. Produce creative designs from inception through delivery of final illustrations. Provide mentorship, art feedback and training to less-experienced concept artists.
6+ years of conceptual experience in designing, developing, and shipping major game systems
Experience in game development or broader entertainment
Experience in world-building and environments
Exceptional portfolio that exhibits artistic style and design sensibility
Photoshop

Painter
3D software for game art production
