  1. Lead and manage a team of engineers in the development of firmware for Solid State Drives (SSD) products.
  2. Develop and implement firmware strategies and roadmaps for SSD products.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality firmware development.
  4. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers on the team.
  5. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in SSD technology to drive innovation.
  6. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  7. Ensure compliance with company standards and protocols for firmware development.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve firmware-related issues in a timely manner.
  9. Manage project timelines and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  10. Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to understand customer needs and develop firmware solutions accordingly.
  11. Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and other technical discussions.
  12. Stay current with industry standards and regulations related to firmware development.
  13. Communicate project updates and progress to upper management.
  14. Continuously improve firmware development processes and procedures.
  15. Represent the company and its values while interacting with customers and partners.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Ssd Firmware Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Developing Firmware For Solid-State Drives (Ssds). They Should Be Well-Versed In Various Programming Languages Such As C, C++, And Assembly, And Have A Deep Understanding Of Ssd Architecture And Protocols.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Nand Flash Technology: As A Principal Engineer For Ssd Firmware, The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Nand Flash Technology, Including Its Operation, Limitations, And Error Correction Techniques. They Should Also Have Experience In Working With Various Types Of Nand Chips And Controllers.

  • Leadership Skills: The Role Of A Principal Engineer Involves Leading A Team Of Firmware Engineers And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams To Develop Cutting-Edge Ssd Firmware. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage The Team And Drive Project Success.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: The Candidate Should Be A Highly Analytical And Detail-Oriented Individual With A Strong Ability To Troubleshoot And Debug Complex Firmware Issues. They Should Be Able To Identify Potential Problems And Provide Timely And Effective Solutions To Ensure The Highest Quality Firmware For Micron's Ssd Products.

  • Strong Understanding Of Industry Standards And Trends: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Industry Standards And Trends Related To Ssd Firmware Development.
