- Conduct thorough physical failure analysis investigations on semiconductor products to identify root cause of failures.
- Utilize advanced material science and engineering knowledge to analyze and understand failure mechanisms.
- Perform detailed characterization and testing of failed products using various analytical and imaging techniques.
- Document and communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, and technicians.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement solutions to prevent future failures.
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment and tools, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
- Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in failure analysis techniques and technologies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and procedures.
- Proactively identify and report any potential issues or concerns related to product quality or reliability.
- Train and mentor junior technicians in failure analysis techniques and procedures.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including confidentiality and intellectual property protection.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to obtain necessary materials and equipment for analysis.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all analysis and testing results.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of failure analysis processes.
Ability To Work Independently And In A Team Environment, With Excellent Problem-Solving And Communication Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Semiconductor Failure Analysis.
Proficiency In Various Analytical Techniques Such As Sem, Edx, Fib, And C-Sam.
Strong Understanding Of Semiconductor Device Physics And Failure Mechanisms.
