  1. Conduct thorough research and analysis of patent laws and regulations to ensure compliance and protect company's intellectual property.
  2. Manage and oversee all aspects of patent prosecution and maintenance, including drafting and filing patent applications.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to identify and evaluate potential patentable inventions.
  4. Advise and provide legal counsel to company executives and employees on patent-related matters.
  5. Communicate and negotiate with external parties, such as patent offices and law firms, to secure and defend patent rights.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including inventors, engineers, and business leaders, to effectively support their patent needs.
  7. Stay current on industry trends and developments in patent law to identify potential risks and opportunities for the company.
  8. Review and assess third-party patent portfolios to identify potential infringement risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  9. Conduct due diligence on potential patent acquisitions or licensing opportunities.
  10. Prepare and deliver trainings and presentations on patent law and best practices to educate company employees.
  11. Draft and negotiate patent-related agreements, such as licensing and joint development agreements.
  12. Monitor and manage patent-related budgets and expenses.
  13. Maintain accurate and organized patent records and documents.
  14. Represent the company in patent-related disputes and litigation.
  15. Continuously review and improve patent processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  16. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  17. Collaborate with other members of the legal team to support overall legal department objectives.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School

  • Active Membership In Good Standing With A State Bar Association

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Patent Law, Preferably In A Technology Company Or Law Firm

  • Knowledge Of U.s. And International Patent Laws, Regulations, And Procedures

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Provide Strategic Legal Advice And Guidance On Complex Patent Matters.
