Job Description

Own, maintain and develop the The Met’s rolling 10-year capital and infrastructure plan. Manage proposed, approved and in-progress capital projects – ensuring that Plan is up-to-date, feasible, delivering on goals, budget and schedule and drives forward the institution’s overall mission and vision. Propose and arrive at capital plan recommendations and evaluate, advise, and guide stakeholders on proposed capital projects. Engage in iterative design and planning process with Museum stakeholders (both programmatic/curatorial and revenue) throughout life-cycle of proposed and in-progress capital projects.

Job Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in capital project or architectural planning, and construction management

  • Experience with NYC construction environment and regulations a plus

  • Substantial practical experience in architectural design and project execution.

  • Certification as licensed Architect, professional Engineer and/or Certified Planner credential preferred
