Surgical Technologist Certified (CST)

Meritus Health is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Surgical Technologist Certified (CST) to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for providing patient care and assistance during surgical procedures. The ideal candidate for this position will have a current CST certification and at least two years of experience in a related field. They must be able to work independently, be organized and detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up operating rooms, instruments, and equipment prior to surgical procedures
• Assist with positioning, prepping, and draping of patients
• Monitor and document patient vital signs during the course of the procedure
• Assist the surgeon and other members of the surgical team during the procedure
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure the safety of the patient
• Transport patients to and from surgery and other areas as needed
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and surgical procedures
• Follow departmental policies and procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
• Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to stay current on best practices in the field
