  1. Develop and implement health and wellness programs for students in collaboration with school staff and community partners.
  2. Conduct health screenings and assessments for students, identifying any potential health concerns and providing appropriate interventions.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers and maintain accurate records.
  4. Educate students and families on healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention strategies.
  5. Collaborate with school staff to create a safe and healthy environment for students, including managing chronic health conditions and responding to medical emergencies.
  6. Serve as a resource and advocate for students with special health needs, ensuring they receive necessary accommodations and support.
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices in school nursing.
  8. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child's health status and provide resources for further support.
  9. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss student health concerns and develop individualized care plans.
  10. Attend professional development opportunities to improve knowledge and skills related to school nursing and student health.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution

  • Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Maryland

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A School Nurse Or In A Pediatric Setting

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To School Health, Including Medication Administration And Immunization Requirements
