- Provide high-quality care to newborns in the Special Care Nursery, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing specialized procedures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care and promote positive outcomes.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to assess, plan, and intervene in emergent situations.
- Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing their unique needs and concerns with compassion and empathy.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all care provided and any changes in the patient's condition.
- Stay up-to-date on current best practices and evidence-based research related to neonatal care.
- Educate patients and their families about their care plan and provide resources for continued support after discharge.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Serve as a positive role model for other healthcare team members and contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to the Special Care Nursery.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and maintain a current RN license.

Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Maryland
Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree From An Accredited Institution
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Special Care Nursery Or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Nicu)
Bls And Nrp Certifications
Demonstrated Knowledge And Proficiency In Neonatal Assessment, Care Planning, And Monitoring Of High-Risk Infants.
