  1. Provide high-quality nursing care to cancer patients undergoing radiation treatment.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  3. Monitor patient progress and assess for any changes or complications.
  4. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
  5. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
  7. Comply with all healthcare regulations and protocols.
  8. Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  10. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in oncology nursing.
  11. Advocate for patients' needs and rights.
  12. Collaborate with community resources and support services to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  13. Continuously assess and improve the quality of care provided.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution: A Rn In Radiation Oncology At Meritus Health Must Hold A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, As This Will Provide A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory, Research, And Evidence-Based Practice.

  • Current Rn License In The State Of Maryland: Candidates Must Possess A Valid And Current Rn License In The State Of Maryland, As This Is A Requirement For Practicing Nursing In The State.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Radiation Oncology Nursing: To Be Considered For The Role, Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Radiation Oncology Nursing. This Experience Will Ensure That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Specialized Care And Treatment Of Patients Undergoing Radiation Therapy.

  • Certification In Oncology Nursing: A Certification In Oncology Nursing, Such As The Ocn (Oncology Certified Nurse) Or Aocn (Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse), Is Highly Preferred For This Role. It Demonstrates The Candidate's Expertise And Knowledge In The Field Of Oncology Nursing.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Rn In Radiation Oncology, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Trusting Relationships And Providing Quality Care.
