- Register Emergency Department patients: The primary responsibility of a Patient Registrar is to register patients who arrive at the Emergency Department for treatment. - Maintain confidentiality: Patient Registrars must maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure accurate and timely registration: Patient Registrars must ensure that all patient information is accurately entered into the hospital's registration system in a timely manner to avoid delays in patient treatment.

Experience In Healthcare Or Customer Service: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting Or Customer Service Role Is Preferred For A Patient Registrar At Meritus Health. This Experience Will Help The Candidate Understand The Unique Needs And Challenges Of Working In A Fast-Paced Emergency Department.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Insurance: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Insurance Processes Is Essential For A Patient Registrar In The Emergency Department. This Includes Knowledge Of Different Insurance Plans, Coverage, And Billing Procedures.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Patient Registrar In The Emergency Department, The Candidate Will Interact With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
