
Medical Assistant- Sports Medicine

- Provide high-quality medical care to athletes and patients of all ages in the Sports Medicine department.
- Assist physicians and other medical professionals with patient examinations and treatments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all medical equipment is sanitized and in working order.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient referrals as needed.
- Educate patients on their injuries and treatments, as well as proper injury prevention techniques.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other medical staff.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Stay current on industry developments and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Assist with insurance verification, billing, and coding processes.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the Sports Medicine department.
- Display a positive and professional attitude towards patients and colleagues.
- Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction and overall patient experience.
Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) Credentials From An Accredited Program.
Experience Working In A Sports Medicine Clinic Or With Athletes.
Knowledge Of Sports Injuries And Treatment Methods.
Familiarity With Electronic Medical Records (Emr) And Medical Coding.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Working With Patients, Athletes, And Healthcare Professionals.
