- Oversee all aspects of medical staff services, including credentialing, privileging, and compliance processes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to medical staff services.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for efficient and effective management of medical staff.
- Provide guidance and support to medical staff in matters related to credentialing and privileging.
- Collaborate with various departments, including human resources and legal, to ensure timely and accurate completion of credentialing and privileging processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medical staff credentials and privileges.
- Coordinate and facilitate medical staff meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
- Serve as a liaison between medical staff, administration, and other departments to promote open communication and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in medical staff services, and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Train and supervise staff responsible for supporting medical staff services, ensuring their adherence to policies and procedures.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all privileged and sensitive information related to medical staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
- Represent the organization at external meetings and conferences related to medical staff services.
- Uphold the values and mission of Meritus Health by promoting exceptional healthcare services and patient care.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Medical Staff Services, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Organization.
Knowledge Of Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules And Regulations, And Accreditation Standards.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Various Departments.
Certified Professional Medical Services Management (Cpmsm) Or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (Cpcs) Certification Preferred.
