
Leave of Absence / Benefits Coordinator

- Manage all aspects of leave of absence and benefits programs for Meritus Health employees.
- Ensure compliance with company and legal policies and procedures related to leave and benefits.
- Serve as the main point of contact for employees in regards to leave of absence and benefits inquiries.
- Collaborate with HR team to develop and implement effective leave and benefits processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee leave and benefits information.
- Communicate with and provide support to employees throughout the leave of absence process.
- Advocate for employees’ rights and ensure fair and consistent treatment.
- Coordinate with insurance providers and third-party administrators to facilitate benefits enrollment and changes.
- Keep abreast of changes in leave and benefits laws and regulations and make recommendations for updates to company policies.
- Conduct trainings and provide guidance to managers and employees on leave and benefits procedures.
- Work closely with payroll and finance departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee benefits.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the leave and benefits programs to meet the evolving needs of employees.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall employee well-being and satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by HR leadership.
Strong Knowledge Of Hr Policies And Procedures: A Leave Of Absence / Benefits Coordinator At Meritus Health Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Organization's Hr Policies And Procedures, Particularly Those Related To Leaves Of Absence And Employee Benefits.
Experience With Leave Management Software: Meritus Health Utilizes A Leave Management Software To Track Employee Leaves And Benefits. Candidates For This Position Should Have Prior Experience With Similar Software And Be Able To Quickly Learn And Navigate The System.
Excellent Communication Skills: The Leave Of Absence / Benefits Coordinator Will Regularly Communicate With Employees, Managers, And Hr Staff Regarding Leave And Benefit Inquiries. Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential For Success In This Role.
Attention To Detail: As The Primary Contact For Leave And Benefit Inquiries, The Coordinator Must Pay Close Attention To Detail To Ensure Accuracy And Compliance With All Relevant Laws And Regulations.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws: The Coordinator Will Be Responsible For Ensuring Compliance With All State And Federal Laws Related To Leave And Benefits, Including The Family And Medical Leave Act (Fmla) And The Americans With Disabilities Act (Ada). A Thorough Understanding Of These Laws Is Essential For The Role.
