Forensic Nurse

The Forensic Nurse will be responsible for providing specialized care to victims of violence and other traumatic events.The successful candidate must have a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing with current licensure in the state of Maryland. Experience in the emergency and/or trauma setting is also required. Responsibilities:

1. Provide specialized care to victims of violence and other traumatic events.
2. Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
3. Administer medications and treatments according to protocols.
4. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
6. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
7. Educate patients and families on health care issues and treatments.
8. Serve as a resource to other healthcare professionals regarding forensic nursing issues.
9. Participate in community outreach activities to promote awareness of forensic nursing services.
10. Collaborate with law enforcement and other professionals as needed.
