  1. Provide immediate and life-saving care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  2. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  3. Assess patient conditions and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  5. Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and interventions.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support as needed.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  9. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Remain calm and professional during high-stress situations.
  11. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with emergency medicine best practices.
  12. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
  13. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients.
  14. Advocate for patient needs and rights.
  15. Continuously assess and improve the quality of patient care.
  16. Maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy.
  17. Serve as a resource and mentor for less experienced staff.
  18. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
  19. Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and actively contribute to a positive work environment.
  20. Represent Meritus Health in a professional and compassionate manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Bls, Acls, And Pals Certifications.

  • Active Rn Licensure In The State Of Maryland.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Emergency Or Trauma Setting.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Preferred.

  • Experience With Trauma Resuscitation, Triage, And Emergency Procedures.
