  1. Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives for the Emergency Department to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care while meeting organizational goals and objectives.
  2. Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  3. Lead and support a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, technicians, and support staff, to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
  4. Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and effective working environment.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with other departments and healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  6. Monitor and analyze department performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  7. Participate in recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff members, ensuring they are adequately trained and oriented to the department's practices and protocols.
  8. Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to staff members to promote professional growth and development.
  9. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based practices and protocols for patient care.
  10. Serve as a liaison between the Emergency Department and other departments within the organization to promote effective communication and collaboration.
  11. Manage department budget and resources, ensuring efficient utilization of funds and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  12. Ensure a high level of patient satisfaction by addressing and resolving any patient or family concerns in a timely and compassionate manner.
  13. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in emergency nursing to continuously improve department operations and patient care.
  14. Serve as a role model for staff by consistently demonstrating a commitment to excellence, professionalism, and compassionate care.
  15. Uphold the organization's mission, vision, and values in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Maryland.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Emergency Nursing, With At Least 3 Years In A Leadership Or Managerial Role.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Lead And Motivate A Team.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Emergency Department Operations, Regulations, And Best Practices, As Well As Experience With Budgeting And Resource Management.
