1. Develop and implement strategic plans and goals for the admissions department, in alignment with the overall organizational objectives.
2. Oversee and manage the admissions team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure a high-performing and cohesive team.
3. Collaborate with other department heads and senior leadership to optimize patient flow and improve the overall patient experience.
4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders to increase referral sources and enhance the organization's reputation.
5. Review and analyze admissions data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions to address any issues.
6. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards related to admissions, including maintaining accurate and complete patient records.
7. Continuously monitor and evaluate processes and procedures related to admissions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Oversee the admissions budget and ensure resources are utilized effectively to achieve department goals and objectives.
9. Serve as a liaison between patients, their families, and the admissions team, addressing any concerns or issues and ensuring a positive and compassionate experience for all.
10. Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to admissions and healthcare operations, and proactively make recommendations for improvement to senior leadership.
11. Foster a culture of excellent customer service and patient satisfaction within the admissions department and across the organization.
12. Handle escalated issues and complaints related to admissions, working with the appropriate departments to resolve them in a timely and satisfactory manner.
13. Represent the organization at conferences, events, and other networking opportunities to promote Meritus Health and its services.
14. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to the admissions team to ensure continuous growth and development.
15. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership.
