Job Description

Meritus Health is seeking a talented and experienced Director of Admissions to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the admissions process for our hospital and ensuring that our patient's needs are met. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare admissions, with a minimum of five years of experience in the field. They should be organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent customer service skills. They should also possess strong interpersonal communications and leadership skills, and be able to effectively manage a team. The Director of Admissions must have a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other departments. A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field is required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the admissions process for the hospital and ensure that patient needs are met.
  2. Coordinate with other departments to ensure a smooth admissions process.
  3. Develop and maintain procedures to ensure quality patient care.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to improve admissions processes.
  5. Monitor patient admission trends and provide feedback as needed.
  6. Analyze patient data and make recommendations for improvement.
  7. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to admissions.
  8. Provide leadership and guidance to the admissions team.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with outside providers.
  10. Act as a liaison to other departments, external partners, and vendors.
