Job Description

Meritus Health is seeking a motivated and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about patient care and has a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, be organized and detail-oriented, and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.The CNA/Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing direct patient care and assisting with medical procedures, while ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for our patients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all patient care needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.Required Qualifications:• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)• Current certification as a Medical Assistant (MA)• Excellent patient care and interpersonal skills• Working knowledge of medical terminology• Ability to maintain patient records and document progress• Ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks• Basic computer skills• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide direct patient care, including assisting with medical procedures, administering medications, taking vital signs, and changing dressings.
  2. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the patient.
  3. Maintain patient records and document patient progress.
  4. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  5. Multi-task and prioritize tasks.
  6. Use basic computer skills to enter patient information.
  7. Follow physicians’ instructions for patient care.
  8. Assist with scheduling patient appointments.
  9. Monitor and order medical supplies as needed.
  10. Provide compassionate and respectful care to all patients.
