Job Description

We at Meritus Health are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Clinical Lab Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of a qualified medical professional.The ideal candidate is a team player who is organized, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for someone with the following qualifications: a high school diploma or equivalent; experience in a clinical lab setting; and basic laboratory techniques. We’d also like you to have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as knowledge of medical terminology.If you’re excited to join a team of dedicated professionals and you have the necessary qualifications, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform laboratory tests and procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  2. Accurately document and record results of tests and procedures.
  3. Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the laboratory environment.
  4. Assist with sample preparation and specimen collection.
  5. Utilize laboratory equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Maintain an organized and efficient laboratory workspace.
  7. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
  8. Follow directions from qualified medical professionals.
  9. Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and other personnel.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to patients.
  11. Monitor inventory and restock laboratory supplies.
  12. Stay up to date on developments in the field of clinical laboratory technology.
