
Clinical Documentation Specialist
Meritus Health is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and ensure the highest quality of care for our patients. We are looking for a professional with a strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS coding systems, as well as the ability to interpret medical records to accurately identify appropriate codes. Responsibilities:
- Interpret medical records to accurately identify appropriate codes using ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Monitor and evaluate clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain communication with physicians and other healthcare personnel to ensure proper documentation.
- Monitor coding accuracy and accuracy of data entry.
- Analyze and review clinical documentation to ensure proper coding is applied.
- Identify any errors or discrepancies in clinical documentation and take appropriate corrective action.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and coding standards.
- Provide guidance and training to staff members on coding and documentation procedures.
- Develop and implement systems to ensure proper documentation and coding.
- Create and maintain reports of coding activity and audit results.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology
Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Terminology
Health Information Management
Or Related Field
Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (Ccds) Certification
Minimum Of Years Of Clinical Documentation Experience In An Acute Care Setting
