Public Safety Officer

MercyOne is looking for an experienced, reliable, and dedicated Public Safety Officer to join our team. In this role, you will protect and secure our campus by providing security services, responding to safety and security needs, and developing safety protocols. You will also maintain order and enforce safety and security regulations. The ideal candidate for this position has a passion for keeping people safe, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. You must also be able to work independently and as part of a team. To be successful as a Public Safety Officer at MercyOne, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent as well as at least three years of experience in a security-related field. You should also have a valid driver's license and certification in First Aid and CPR. You must also be able to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Provide security services to protect and secure MercyOne’s campus. • Respond to safety and security needs. • Develop safety protocols. • Maintain order and enforce safety and security regulations. • Provide excellent customer service. • Develop and implement security protocols. • Monitor surveillance equipment. • Investigate suspicious activity. • Make arrests if needed. • Document incidents and security breaches. • Provide training and guidance to staff and visitors to maintain safety. • Perform first aid and CPR when necessary. • Work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
