At MercyOne, we are seeking an experienced, passionate, and knowledgeable Perinatal Sonographer to join our team. Our ideal candidate will possess a commitment to providing high quality patient care and be excited to work in an innovative and fast-paced environment.The Perinatal Sonographer will be responsible for providing obstetrical and gynecologic ultrasound services to patients. They must be able to interpret medical images and document results in the Electronic Medical Record. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with patients of all ages and backgrounds.To be successful in this role, the Perinatal Sonographer must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting performing ultrasound scans. They must be ARDMS registered and have experience with high-frequency and color Doppler imaging. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.We are looking for an individual who is passionate about their work and eager to take on new challenges. Responsibilities of a Perinatal Sonographer:
- Provide obstetrical and gynecologic ultrasound services to patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Interpret medical images and document results in the Electronic Medical Record
- Follow protocols and safety procedures to ensure high quality patient care
- Operate high-frequency and color Doppler imaging machines
- Maintain patient records and enter information into the medical system
- Communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare personnel
- Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Maintain current ARDMS registration
- Stay current with industry standards, techniques, and technology
- Participate in continuing education and training as required
Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Current American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) Certification
Knowledge Of Current Regulations And Standards For Perinatal Sonography
Ability To Operate Sonographic Equipment
Demonstrated Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills
Ability To Work Independently Or Collaboratively With Physicians
Knowledge Of Fetal Anatomy And Physiology
