1. Provide specialized care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) who require intermediate level monitoring and intervention.
2. Utilize advanced clinical knowledge and judgment to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
3. Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, lab results, and other diagnostic data to identify changes in patient condition and intervene as needed.
4. Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
6. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
7. Utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate potential complications and intervene proactively.
8. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
9. Ensure patient safety and comfort by adhering to infection control protocols and providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
