Pathology Technician - Histology

MercyOne is looking to hire a talented and experienced Pathology Technician - Histology to join our Pathology team. Our team is dedicated to providing the highest quality of patient care and support. As an integral part of the team, the Pathology Technician - Histology will be responsible for ensuring that all laboratory processes and procedures are performed correctly and in a timely manner.The ideal candidate for this position will possess a comprehensive understanding of the entire histology process, including tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and cryosectioning. Additionally, the candidate should have at least an Associate's degree in Medical Technology or a related field, with one or more years of experience in a pathology laboratory. An understanding of laboratory safety protocols and knowledge of current histology technology is also a must.The successful candidate will be a highly organized individual, with excellent communication and collaboration skills. They will be a team player, with the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
