Nurse Practitioner - Advanced Heart Failure

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Nurse Practitioner - Advanced Heart Failure to join our team at MercyOne. In this role, you will provide advanced nursing services in the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure, as well as other cardiology-related services. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team in providing care to patients with advanced heart failure.To be successful in this position, you will need to have a current and valid Nurse Practitioner license, a minimum of two years’ experience in cardiology and/or heart failure, a Master’s Degree in Nursing, and a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Responsibilities:

1. Provide advanced nursing services in the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure and other cardiology-related services.
2. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide care to patients with advanced heart failure.
3. Maintain a valid Nurse Practitioner license and current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
4. Utilize excellent communication and organizational skills to collaborate and coordinate with other healthcare team members.
5. Demonstrate independent decision-making skills for patient care.
6. Document patient care in accordance with established standards.
7. Remain current with best practices and evidence-based protocols in the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure.
8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
9. Educate patients and families on the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure.
10. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations.
